Collingwood had developed his views on aesthetics in Speculum Mentis and Outlines of a Philosophy of Art (1925), and published papers on 'The Place of Art in Education' (1926), Aesthetic' (1927), and 'Form and Content in Art' (1929) together with a cluster of substantial reviews in the late 1920s and early 1930s. For our present purposes, however, perhaps the other most important source is the series of lectures on the ontological argument written in late 1919.
